All of us enjoy our summer vacations ... some go to exotic destinations while others enjoy a stay-cation or day trips ... but no matter what type of vacation we enjoy we all like to have a project on the needles and hooks to take along with us.

In the summer months, I find myself gravitating toward smaller projects that can easily be tucked into a handbag or small travel bag to take along with me. Right now I'm working on a shawl. Sounds to big? Not really. My shawl project fits nicely in a 13" x 17" drawstring project bag that I can just grab-and-go! My other go-to projects are knit hats. I try to always have a hat on my needles* because they're small, quick to make and make great gifts! *Those of you who know me, know that I am a professional crocheter but I do "dabble in the dark art of knitting!"

So if you're planning your vacation, be sure to also plan to visit us at Hooked and we'll help you select the perfect take-along project for your vacation!
